Hi, I’m Kyra Newton and dance is my life. I am interested in the anatomy of dance, cultural forms of dance, and I most of all love the spirit behind the movement of dancing. I aspire to dance professional once I am done my Dance/Sociology degree, as of right now I’m a contemporary dancer in training, a ballet, lyrical, and musical theater teacher, and information junky. I’m in my third year at Simon Fraser University and I have found my experience to be both fulfilling and eye opening. I’ve been working with Con8 since the beginning of the Spring Semester of 2014 and I have loved every bit of it. It has been a great opportunity to work with these talented ladies, their choreography is both innovative and eccentric.

She wishes to thank Gina and Charlotte for the opportunity to be a part of their process and wishes them the best of luck in their extremely bright future
Flora's dance training commenced at the age of 12 in ballet. She recieved her classical training in the RAD method and The Goh Ballet Academy. Flora was also a regular attendee at the Harbour Dance Centre. Over the years, she began taking an interest in other styles such as hip hop, house, waacking, locking and breaking. Flora's enthusiasm for urban dance styles led to her dancing with several leading hip hop crews in Vancouver. Today Flora continues her training in contemporary dance at SFU. She is currently enrolled in her third year of studies in this program. Flora is very thankful to have worked with Gina and Charlotte on this project. She is very excited to present this work.
